Colorful experience at the #BergerXP IndiBlogger Meet!

As bloggers we love to meet new people and interact. You get to learn something from everyone and that is the beauty of human interactions. It is extremely important to keep yourself open to meeting new people and interesting conversations. That’s how you learn new things and trends prevailing in the society. The IndiBlogger team has always been fabulous at providing platforms and opportunities for the bloggers to express their views. The bloggers meet is a fabulous way to bring the bloggers together. The latest IndiBlogger took place in New Delhi in association with Berger Paints.

Berger has introduced a new concept of Express Painting. A concept that is innovative and effective as well! The concept talks about automation of certain essential and repetitive tasks that are involved in painting. The idea is simple here, if something has to be done repeatedly why we can’t have a machine do that for us to make things easier for us. This not just helps to save time but the efficiency is enhanced as well! Another brilliant thing that Berger has started is training the painters. Now that really is a consumer centric initiative. A trained painter is definitely supposed to be more reliable. All this so that things can be executed faster, cleaner and better! Also if you delve into things, this move to train painters can also help mitigate unemployment in the country. So if you see things closely, this is modernization of painting coupled with corporate citizenship.

Berger has introduced some really effective no-mess tools to make life easier for us. Sanding as we know is something inevitable whenever we want to get out house painted. For this Berger has introduced the sanding machine so that you can do things faster and cleaner. For the washing part to clean stuff, Berger has introduced high pressure washer. Other tools like the airless paint sprayer, auto roller are of great utility as well! The good thing was that these tools were physically present at the meet. So we had these no-mess tools at our disposal and that made us realize that these are of tremendous utility.

The #BergerXP IndiBlogger meet at Delhi was pretty well organized and planned. We had interesting activities that involved all. It is a brilliant idea to have activities that involve everybody. Human beings feel valued when they’re involved in things. We feel like we are a part of a goal and we are contributing. The team activity was real fun. The first round made everyone of us do sanding and that is exactly when we realized the importance of the sanding machine. Really you must burn your own fingers to know what fire is! In the second round every team was given a theme and based on that we needed to paint our imagination. There was a Berger trained painter as well to tell us how to mix colors with accuracy and precision.

Post the activity everyone was waiting for the results. The results were great, we won! Yes I was the part of the winning team. We were Team 3 and we won. The theme given to us for the second round was ‘Blogging-Vlogging’. It was a great event overall and the fact that we won made things even better. Thanks a lot Berger for this event and the concept of Express Painting. The concept gives us a way to paint our homes in a hassle free manner. Our homes are so important to us and the walls speak aloud! Sometimes I wonder whether my home is a place or a person!

The more you travel the richer you become. It is all about travelling, keep moving in life. When you travel you not only cover distances, you also explore! You learn new cultures, land in un-chartered situations. It also helps you to explore yourself. You get a chance to know the real “you”!

India is a land of diversified culture and traditions. You get to see people of different religions, beliefs, cultures and traditions living here. This is what makes this nation incredible. India is like a huge family where each family member contributes to the well being and prosperity of the grand family.

I still remember my trip to North-East India along with a few friends of mine. It was a special experience indeed! Northeast India is the eastern most region of the country. This region comprises of the seven states that are commonly termed as the Seven Sisters- Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura—and the Himalayan state of Sikkim. Apparently, few of the best things about this part of the nation are the people, the culture, the natural beauty and proximity of the great Himalayas. Northeast region is bestowed with beautiful landscapes and places of great aesthetic value. The Himalayas as we know is something really special. It is a land of prayers! It is a land of immense cultural and spiritual importance. The land of Himalayas fills you with faith, which is a beautiful feeling. It gives you strength, hope and a reason to believe in spirituality.

The northeastern region is predominantly hilly. The region is also blessed with some of the most spectacular forest areas. There are a lot of wildlife sanctuaries in the region as well. We really loved the hospitality that people in this part of the nation offer. We also learnt a lot about meditation, self realization, spirituality and religions. The northeastern region is rich in spirituality as well. The Buddhism religion is also present here. The impact of Buddhism is overtly visible in the benevolent nature of the people. Before our visit to the region, I still remember a friend told me that the people in Sikkim are extremely hospitable. That’s what my friend told me about the north-eastern people- “They welcome you with great warmth and enthusiasm. They hear and understand you just like you want to be heard, understood and believed in”.

Gangtok is surely a must visit place. The people and their benevolent nature is a special and rare thing! You will also notice prayers written in pieces of cloth and flags, hanging on the streets. It is believed that these prayers are carried to God by the winds that roam these highlands. This really was a special experience for us. The food, the people and the ambience everything about the place is simply awesome and exciting!

The northeastern people treat their guests really well; they deserve the same respect and hospitality. We must always remember that we are all a part of the same family. Our message should always be love as far as it reaches.

Awesome and enriching experience at the Skyscanner Indiblogger meet

The Meet!

The Skyscanner Indiblogger meet that was at the Le Meridian Hotel, New Delhi, was indeed a special experience. It was about superb food, great ambience, interesting people, classic banters and a learning experience. The hotel Le Meridian where the meet took place is located in Janpath, in the heart of the city. The ambience was really good and befitting to the theme of the meet. The food was really awesome. Not only the lunch, even the tea session was enormous fun! The meet made me so curious about the skyscanner website that I started browsing and scanning the website immediately!

The skyscanner website has some really exciting features. The overall look and feel of the website is simple yet stylish. When you browse through the website, you feel like getting stuck to every webpage you click! The website no doubt will suffice to draw the attention of all the ardent travellers across the world.

Few of the special features that the website offers are-

  • You can select the “Prefer directs” option and view all the direct flights in a single go.
  • You can use the skyscanner website to book hotels and hire cars/taxis as well. So, it is not restricted to mere flight booking.
  • You can also compare all the airlines through the skyscanner website.
  • Skyscanner website helps you to explore! You can explore cities, countries et al.
  • You can view all the popular airlines of the world and all the airlines to popular countries on a single page.
  • Skyscanner website helps you search the cheapest airlines to a particular destination.
  • The ‘Everywhere search’ feature is a really attractive feature for all the travellers. “The traveller sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see”, probably this is the quote that inspired the skyscanner people to have the ‘Everywhere search’ feature on the website. As they say, “A good traveller has no plans”. This feature is definitely for the travellers. All you need to do, is just specify your present location (departure point) and type everywhere in the destination field. You can enter the dates for your travel. If you want you can even click on whole month or whole year, to find the best prices for you.

When I heard about this feature of the skyscanner website in the meet, I was really excited. This is an extremely useful feature for people like me, who like travelling but cannot afford playing ducks and drakes with money.

A huge thanks to the skyscanner team that was there at the meet. The skyscanner team was really nice and the members were modest. The way Kavitha, the senior marketing manager at skyscanner, introduced us to the website was really superb. Kavitha also told us how skyscanner came into existence and what are the future plans. The video that was shown was amazing and made us marvel at the sheer creativity.

Many thanks to the Indiblogger team as well, for bringing in yet again a superb meet. These Indiblogger meets help us, the bloggers, to stay in touch and share thoughts and experiences. This is always an enriching experience. Also, I would like to thank for the Tees and the Bags that were given to the bloggers. These are really special gifts. Overall a fantastic experience and I wish both, Skyscanner and Indiblogger tremendous success in the future!
